THE CORD

We are connected, My child and I, by An invisible cord Not seen by the eye. It's not like the cord That connects us 'til birth This cord can't be seen By any on Earth. This cord does it's work Right from the start. It binds us together Attached to my heart. I know that it's there Though no one can see The invisible cord From my child to me. The strength of this cord Is hard to describe. It can't be destroyed It can't be denied. It's stronger than any cord Man could create It withstands the test Can hold any weight. And though you are gone, Though you're not here with me, The cord is still there But no one can see. It pulls at my heart I am bruised...I am sore, But this cord is my lifeline As never before. I am thankful that God Connects us this way A mother and child Death can't take it away!

Tragedy

The people who did this to Rhys are not worthy of the word people. How anyone could attack this young innocent is beyond me. I hope Rhys' family and friends can take some small comfort from the sheer amount of tributes Rhys has received, and let's all hope this disgusting crime leads to a clamp down on gangs and guns. No one deserves this, let alone a young lad who never did harm to anyone and had his whole life in front of him.
Rest in peace Rhys, you will never be forgotten. Keep on playing the game in heaven, it has certainly gained another angel.

My sincere condolances to Rhy

RIP sweet Rhys, I have 2 beautiful grandkids and the thought of anything happening to them makes me feel ill, I cant imagine how much hurt you feel at this time. I watched your appeal on tv & was so upset, you are so brave. I wish the government would do something about these yobs.
I hope they catch the scum that did this and he gets his, remember, God dont pay his debts with money. xxx

I send my heartfelt sympathy to you all, I never knew your little boy but along with the rest of the world I feel shock and despair, being a parent myself I can only imagine how desparate and heartbroken you all feel, I see the sorrow in your eyes and hear the pain in your voice and I weep with you. This must not happen again we must change the world for the sake of your lovely little lad, time is a great healer so they say , and time can do so much, but only time will tell, please let this be the last time. My heart goes out to you.

Hey Rhys...
I was at that everton game against blackburn and normally, when its a minute silence or a minute of clapping i dont deeply think of what happened...but in this case i did and it was from my heart. How can one human being do that to another. I hope the monster who did this is brought to justice! My condolences are with your family and friends. Hope you are okay buddy! =)

I never knew Rhys but when i hard what had happened was so shocked lost a good friend of mine last year he was also shot at a young age of 22 but 11 thats know age. My thoughts are with your family friends and this sad and diificult time sleep well. RIP!

i dont actually know you but wen i red ur story in the paper and hw yung u wer it propa shellshocked me. i couldnt believe it! im 11 and i hope dat mi parents wil neva hav 2 go thru that. i cried an cried bukets wen i read how strong ur mum and dad and bruva hav 2 b and wish them all the luk in da werld. god bless, sleep well angel and doo wot yew do best, show dem angles how 2 play dat buetiful game!!!
